About Us

David Arroyo pastors Buckhorn Methodist Church. He’s married to his wonderful wife, Rebecca, and is the proud father of two girls. His ministry journey began at 19 when a powerful encounter with Jesus led him to co-found a house church ministry in Virginia Beach and later plant a church in Norfolk. After managing a housing community in Rocky Mount, NC, David returned to vocational ministry as a Methodist Pastor. He holds a Master of Theological Studies from Duke Divinity School and a BA in Biblical Studies from Regent University. While holding a deep appreciation for literature, art, and nature, David believes in the transformative role and calling of the local church to affect culture. He helps lead Buckhorn Methodist in its mission, as a part of the Global Methodist Denomination, to embody Christ’s call to be the “salt and light” of the world.
